A legacy is what we leave behind for others. Almost every day the news media refers to the “legacy” of politicians, athletes, movie stars and activists. But everyone leaves a legacy—not just well known people. What will we leave behind for others? Are we leaving the legacy we really want to leave?
Throughout our lives we enjoy the benefits of those who came before us and sacrificed to make what we do more meaningful and significant. We have all been impacted—positively or negatively—by the legacy of others.
Our goal is to encourage people to create a plan, to be intentional about leaving behind something of eternal significance to those who come behind us (our families, friends, neighbors, work associates, students, etc.).
The number one reason we fail to give a solid heritage
is negligence —
we neglect to create a plan for doing so.

Leaving A Legacy is a process of Biblical discovery and personal reflection, both of which will provide encouragement to pass on something worthwhile to those who follow. The study begins and ends with an enlightening study of Jesus and His legacy model. Participants will be the challenged, uplifted, and inspired to leave a legacy that has everlasting value. We will learn Jesus’ proven path to leaving an eternal legacy. Along the way we examine other Biblical characters (including Barnabas and his legacy of encouragement) to understand the building blocks of a lasting legacy.
